Soon, access to BayCare applications (including the EMR) from non-BayCare devices and networks will be simplified and more secure using VDI and Two-Factor Authentication. This process utilizes the Workspace One and VMware Horizon applications.
VDI is a virtual desktop containing BayCare applications that can be accessed from your device and provides a more secure and user friendly experience.
Here’s how it will affect you:
- All remote access to BayCare clinical information will be through VDI via Workspace One using the Horizon Client.
- Secure access is available from multiple platforms, including PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
- Training and Support Materials for Workspace and Horizon are available for all of the above mentioned devices.
If you don’t currently use VDI:
Providers can request access from their local clinical support team member or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your Username and contact information.
Sponsoring Physician or Office Delegate must request access by emailing email@example.com.
If your staff currently do not have access to BayCare, please complete and return the Doctor Connect & HIE Form.The form also can be found on Doctor Connect under Get Credentialed located on the right side of the page (Sponsoring Physician must sign page 1).
